Dr Simon Li

Hi my name is Simon Li, I am a principal dentist and owner here at Ethos Dental Care. I graduated from Manchester University 2003 after satisfying the examiners with honours & distinction in the final examination.

I am a keen believer that everyone is entitled to having a smile that they are confident with and ensure that excellent oral health is the foundation to this. Having a mouth that is free from tooth decay and gum disease is the cornerstone to having trouble-free dental care.

Before Ethos Dental Care I worked in Manchester, Cheshire and Staffordshire and the last 5 & a half years have been in private practice. I have brought my skills to the practice to benefit all the people who I look after.

I have a passion for cosmetic dentistry and I have undertaken several courses in my chosen niche. The thought of seeing a smile transform through advanced orthodontic and conservative restorative techniques is what I enjoy and keeps my interest in dentistry. I also have a passion for attending courses and learning more about how dentistry can improve lives. During my travels I have visited America, Liechtenstein, Italy, Dubai, Germany and Russia to find out more about cutting edge dentistry that just isn’t available here in the UK. My special interest is changing patients’ smiles using almost invisible braces. We can do this with Invisalign, the Inman Aligner or Six Month Smiles (clear fixed braces) depending on the starting position of your teeth. It does not matter which method we use, we try to be as discreet as possible!

My favourite method to straighten teeth is by using the fixed clear brace as I find they are very versatile and the movements are very reliable. Many patients comment that the brace is hardly visible and that they are delighted with the final result. Some say that they wish they had it done sooner! I’ve been travelling to four practices in Greater Manchester and Yorkshire area to help patients achieved the smile that they have always wanted. This gives me a lot of personal satisfaction to see a patient happy after several years of crooked and misaligned teeth.

As well as regularly attending the World Aesthetics Congress and International Dental Showcase, I enjoys staying current with state of the art changes in dentistry through reading journals and attending courses.

I am also accredited in the following treatments: CEREC, mini-implants, Enlighten Deep whitening, Zoom II ACP Power Whitening and offering conscious sedation to ease your anxieties.

Dr Jonathan Eaton

Since qualifying from Leeds University in 1985 Jonathan has practiced in Germany, New Zealand and the UK.

As well as his primary degree he has several post graduate diplomas from the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland, see below.

He is especially proud of holding the acclaimed Diploma in General Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons (MGDSRCS) of which approximately 500 dentists in the world have passed since the 1970’s. Holding this diploma led to an invitation to become a member of the distinguished British Society of General Dental Surgery (BSGDS). Please feel free to look this up on their website (www.bsgds.com)

Jonathan also holds the Fellowship in General Dental Practice (FFGDP) which is the highest award in general practice issued by the Royal College of Surgeons.

As well as being an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Jonathan has acted as expert witness for dental-legal issues.

Jonathan has also run the Oral Surgery referral service for Stockport accepting many referrals from local dentists. He has had praise for reducing waiting list times and improving efficiency by Stockport Primary Care Trust.

Jonathan is totally committed to achieving excellence in all forms of clinical care. In addition to this further training, he has completed a year long postgraduate course at Sheffield University which looks at placing and restoring dental implants.

Dr Stefanie Williams

My name is Stefanie Williams and I am an associate dentist at Ethos Dental Care. I started at this practice in 2008 after working at another practice in Stockport since completing my degree. I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2006.

I completed a diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009, the MJDF. I have since become the tutor of this diploma for other dentists in the North West of England. I run study courses to help fellow dentists pass the MJDF.

I have recently become a mother to a beautiful baby boy and as well as having a daughter, it means that a lot of my free-time is taken! I enjoy travelling and dining.

I love my job, and am keen to further my career and experience by attending courses and possibly undertaking more postgraduate assessments. I am also a member of the British Dental Association and Royal College of Surgeons.

Verity Hughes

My name is Verity Hughes and I am the Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist at Ethos. I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2014 and soon after took a post at a practice in Harpurhey, North Manchester. I joined Ethos Dental Care in March 2015 to be closer to home.

As a hygienist, I help prevent gum disease and help you maintain a healthy mouth through adapting home care routine and giving tailored advice. As I am dual qualified I can also carry out fillings on adults and children and take x-rays. I am continually advancing my skills and knowledge in all areas by completing courses and training sessions.

In my spare time I enjoy keeping busy by going to the gym and trips to the theatre with my friends.

Ria has had experience with all types of dentistry and is a qualified implant nurse. Highly experienced, always smiling and is a master of cuisine. Delia Smith meet your match!

Adele

Adele has been a member of the team for over 8 years and is familiar face to our patients. She will ensure that everything is done to try and put you at your ease. She is a mum of two and enjoys walks in the country.

Jessica has finished training to become a qualified dental nurse. She is our head infection control nurse and she ensures the practice stays up to date with the latest infection control guidance. She also enjoys the gym and regularly visits the cinema.
